The Graduate Program in Social Sciences (PPGCSoc) aims to describe the development of human resources for teaching and research, as well as other professional activities within the social sciences, emphasizing reflection on the social and environmental changes that been occurring in the region in which it is inserted. Positions itself as a leading scientific production, encouraging research, disseminating and publishing research produced by faculty and students, as well as technical and scientific exchange with institutions of education and research in the Amazon, the Northeast and other regions of country and abroad.
