RESUMO: Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Architectures are suited for many application domains and are quickly reconfigurable. Over the years, authors proposed different approaches to configure the CGRA internal hardware. Reconfiguration can be via a compiler (static CGRA) or hardware at runtime (dynamic CGRA). In both cases, the CGRA configuration bits are generated by extra tools, increasing the programmers’ workload. Thus, programming these devices is challenging, limiting their popularity. Here we conduct a Systematic Literature Review on the class of CGRAs that perform the (re)configuration process transparently to the programmer. We seek to answer six questions about the proposed systems to understand better the scope of this research field and aid future work.
