Visit of Ph.D. STANISLAV R. STOYANOV of CanmetENERGY / University of Alberta
In October 2023, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Ph.D. Stanislav R. Stoyanov from CanmetENERGY / University of Alberta to the facilities of the Graduate Program in Materials Science (PPGCM) at UFMA.
This was his first visit to Imperatriz-MA and to the PPGCM/CCIm-UFMA, and we planned a series of activities to introduce him to our research environment and explore potential collaborations. During his visit, Professor Stoyanov had the opportunity to meet with faculty members of the PPGCM, where we discussed future partnerships, research synergies, and potential joint projects. Additionally, our graduate students presented their research projects, engaging in productive discussions on collaborative opportunities between our groups.
Beyond scientific discussions, we also aimed to introduce him to the local culture and provide a comprehensive overview of our research infrastructure, laboratories, and main research lines. This exchange of knowledge and ideas was crucial for strengthening ties between our institutions and fostering long-term collaboration in areas such as new materials development and energy production.
We look forward to continuing this partnership, advancing ongoing projects and initiating new ones, with future visits expected to further discussions and drive innovation in the field.
