PROFNIT® is a Graduate Program in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation. stricto sensu, dedicated to the improvement of professional training to act in the competencies of the Technological Innovation Centers (NITs) and in the Innovation Promotion Environments in the various academic, business, governmental, social organizations, etc. It is a FORTEC in-person program (www.fortec.org.br), in a national network of Focal Points, with Academic Headquarters in one of the focal points, offered to graduated professionals working in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer and Technological Innovation within the scope of the competences of the Technological Innovation Nuclei (NITs), servers and members of teams of Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs), as well as in other similar instances of the National Science, Technology and Innovation System (SNCTI). Students do not pay tuition fees and teachers do not receive fees, being a social contribution from FORTEC (Brazilian Association of Innovation and Technology Transfer Managers www.fortec.org.br), and being co-financed by the Brazilian government and by other organizations. This is a social contribution of the Association National Forum of Innovation and Technology Transfer Managers - FORTEC, in association with Higher Education Institutions, to the training of human resources at master's level to work in the areas of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation, such as Technological Innovation Centers, Technological Innovation Centers, Research, Development & Innovation Agencies, among other innovation environments. The Professional Master's is offered nationally, covering all regions of Brazil and was recommended with a grade 4 by the Technical-Scientific Council for Higher Education - CTC-ES of CAPES, at its 159th meeting, held on June 18 and 19, 2015. The Professional Master's is also offered annually to foreign students. PROFNIT is coordinated by the Management Council (CG) and the National Academic Commission (CAN), which operate under the aegis of the FORTEC Directory, has a Headquarters Focal Point, and is carried out by the Institutional Academic Commissions (CAIs) of the Focal Points. Description: Analytical and practical studies on the competencies of NITs and their institutional policy for technological innovation in accordance with the legal framework and sectoral policies. Encouraging the protection of creations, results of research and technological development, search for anteriority, processing and maintenance of IP titles in different areas of knowledge. Technology transfer in its various forms and in the various structuring sectors and their interrelationships, identification of market niches and technological-based innovation environments and their systemic interactions, entrepreneurship, identification of bottlenecks and market opportunities to transfer technology appropriately ( competitive intelligence), aiming at its use by society and contributing to the development and economic growth in the local, regional and global spheres, improving the living conditions of the population, leveraging the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and boosting the Human Development Index (HDI) ). Concentration area: Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation Egress Profile In his performance within the competencies of the NITs, the master's student must have the basic knowledge for the academy-company dialogue, being able to interact purposefully with the governmental, business and academic sectors. The following stand out: Know legislation and public policies related to Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer and Technological Innovation; Know and propose policies to encourage the protection of creations; Assess the desirability of protecting creations and disseminating them; Process orders and maintain intellectual property titles; Act on licensing, innovation and other forms of technology transfer; To develop studies of technological prospection and competitive intelligence in the field of intellectual property, in order to guide the actions of innovation of Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs); Develop studies and strategies for the transfer of innovations generated by Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs); Promote and monitor the relationship between Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs) with companies; Negotiate and manage technology transfer agreements from Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs). Routine activities of dialogue and academy-company actions, purposefully interacting with the various sectors.
